Scorching

Am I the only one who never learns to let my food cool down before I eat it? I had one of those, "OH MY GOD I JUST ATE A FIREBALL AND I CAN FEEL IT BURNING ITS WAY DOWN MY THROAT" moments at dinner tonight. Then after I had finished flapping my hands at my throat and running around my apartment I decided, "You know what will feel better? A nice piping hot cup of tea."

I had signed up for the Republic of Tea catalog a little while ago and they nicely sent along a sample bag with it. I have one of their other products already- the Get Gorgeous tea. I don't know if I've noticed an actual change in my skin from drinking it but come to think of it, I've never really done an actual study or anything. Perhaps next month I'll give that a try. Full disclosure- one of the reasons I love the tea from this company is their canisters. I have this urge to buy 800 and stack them endlessly for some reason.

Anyway, this flavor was Cinnamon Vanilla (I just looked it up and it's called Dream by the Fire- so nice!) and it was a beautiful way to kick off the month of December. I'm glad I chose to try this sample to soothe my roasted throat with. Needless to say, I burnt my tongue when I first tried it, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a try if you see it in a store.

Hint hint- these would make excellent stocking stuffers!

  2. Sounds yummy! PS-You are not alone---I had a full on blister burn on the roof of my mouth from eating a too hot meatball! It lasted for a bout a week----My morning coffee is always both a friend and enemy to my poor mouth as well=)
    Thanks for stopping by today!!!!
